2. What is SEKU Smart Card?
It is a smart ID Card(Chip ,PIN & NFC) that provides one stop access to HELB & Student Bank Account funds. You can load the card & make payments(Tuition, Accommodation, Cafeteria, Library fines etc) at the university at no Cost.
Students can also make Visa, Kenswitch & Pesa Point ATM withdraws, Save & Shop with the card outside the university. These are added functionalities

3. The University Smart Card is a card that enables you to access the following services inside the Campus:-
1. Enter/Exit Campus premises-Acts as an Identification card 2. Manage H.E.L.B wallets (Tuition, Accommodation, Upkeep etc) 3. Pay for Library services 4. Pay & manage cafeteria services 5. At the cash office students can top up the card & Pay for:- · School fees · Accomodation · Penalties · Transcripts · Certificates · Graduation · Gowns etc **The above transactions are not charged

4. Card Issuing Process
Students do not need to apply for the card. The university orders for the cards.
A list of ready cards will be issued to the university to notify students.
The Bank issue the smart card to students at no cost.

5. Transactions Processing
On transacting, the system is able to pick funds from different wallets e.g. on paying school fees, the funds are deducted from the tuition wallet, on paying for Accommodation, funds are deducted from Accommodation wallet. Upkeep money together with bank account balance is withdraw able over the counter, ATMs & NBK agencies country wide.
Students can load the bank Account to supplement their wallet balances e.g. if a student has a balance of kshs 2000 on tuition wallet and kshs 5000 on bank account, the student can pay fees up to kshs 7000
Students with no wallet balances will have the bank account debited directly on transacting.
No charges will apply on transactions done on the university POS

6. With the Smart Card, students can make Deposits, Withdrawals, Point of Sale Payments and enquire account balance on their National Bank Whizz Card. This is available at the following outlets: Point of Sale (POS) machine in the University 2. National Bank branches and National Agents countrywide VISA ATMs 4. Kenswitch ATMs 5. National Banks Mobile Banking

7. How to top up your Smart Card
1. Deposit cash direct into the card account from any National bank branch or National Agents countrywide 2 .Transfer cash from National bank account straight to your smart card account. 3. Deposit using the Mpesa paybill :- - Go to Mpesa Paybill option and enter as the business number - Insert the 14 Account number - Enter the amount - Confirm your Mpesa PIN - You will receive a confirmation message from Mpesa
