The following slides include guidelines on how to properly create your SAE Project Plan Find the category that best fits your SAE Plan and complete the questions in your AET Experience Tracker. Make sure to include which of the 7 categories it fits in as well and map it! How to write/set up your plan

Background info; which all needs to be written down in an organizational manner to allow you to refer back to it. Research SAE: Step1

1. what is your schedule of time or plan? DON’T OVERLOAD YOURSELF AND FAIL BECAUSE YOU FAILED TO PLAN 2. who will supervise you? What is their schedule? include their contact information in plan. Are there any financial resources that apply? Research SAE: Step2 BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR PLAN INTO ACTION, PLAN FOR WHAT YOU NEED!!!!

Expenses Depends a lot on type of project $ can be spent 2 ways
BUYING the project Show goat to resell after showing, T-shirts, etc. Some things are used in the project to INCREASE VALUE or MAINTAIN the project Vaccines, medications, feed, dewormer, etc. Expenses

Assets High value item Used in a business to develop revenue
Lawnmower, dental cleaning machine Has a useful life that exceeds more than 1 year Bucks for breeding, trailer, large animal clippers, milking stand, cage for small animals, etc. Assets

Depreciation of Assets
Buying assets is NOT an expense but rather a business ASSET Without it, you probably won’t make much money Assets depreciate over time Depreciation IS an expense Buying a car, it looses its value every year Depreciation of Assets

Depreciation Example Purchase cost of trailer: $3,000
Salvage (sell after 5 yrs): $2,000 Depreciation = $1,000 5 years of using the trailer divided by $1,000 =$200 Which means the depreciation rate of the trailer each year is 20% Depreciation Example
