Your Logo Here Device Popular eReader Any device with a Web browser All tablets, iPad®, Kindle devices®, laptops, desktops and smartphones OverDrive® Read™ is a Web-browser method of reading eBooks and is preferred by many mobile users. No additional software is required. Checking out an eBook, Publication Info
Your Logo Here Example Browse a collection by choosing Menu and browsing practice areas titles, jurisdictional content or by featured content. Search for a title by keyword, author name or title In ‘Featured Collections’ you have the option to view all indexes. This allows you to filter every title down to just view the index. From here easily find what you are looking for. Indices have no download or user limit.

Your Logo Here Example Click on a title to display options The ‘Borrow’ button places the title on your Bookshelf for checkout. Click on ‘Sample’ to review a short section. Click on the + icon to ‘Save to List’ for future quick reference. Click on the envelope icon to send a formatted with a link to the title to a colleague within your organization. Click on the ‘more’ arrow to review the title or description and place the eBook on your bookshelf, ready to ‘Borrow’.

Your Logo Here Save to List feature
The List feature is a means for a Digital Library user to efficiently borrow favorite titles without having to search the entire collection. The user’s List is located on the Account page and is populated by the user clicking the “Save to List” icon that is located on the title information page or title image when browsing the collection After clicking the “Save to List” icon, the volume will be presented in the user’s List from which it can be borrowed.

Your Logo Here Share feature
The Share feature is a method for a Digital Library user to forward to a colleague via a direct link to volume in the Digital Library collection. This link enables the user’s colleague to quickly sign-on to the Digital Library and borrow the referenced volume. Clicking the ‘Share’ icon that is located on the title information page or title image when browsing the collection, a user is presented with an pop-up box.

Example Clicking on the cover art to display title description and other options will go to this view Click ‘Borrow’ to download the eBook

Borrowing and your bookshelf
The ‘Borrow’ button moves the eBook to your bookshelf for download Choose a download method based on how you will read the eBook ‘Read’ will launch the eBook in your device’s Web browser. ‘Download’ will offer EPUB option. Click on EPUB and any compatible eReader software you have already downloaded will be offered as an option. or if available, Kindle® download option will display, requiring an active Amazon® account.

Your Logo Here All popular eReaders provide functions to: Navigate TOC by link to that section in the book Highlight sections and save the highlighting as a Note for future reference. Search for a term Bookmarking to quickly locate a page LexisNexis eBooks contain links to further information within Lexis Advance®. Look for citations in green font.

Your Logo Here What you need: Apple iPad®, 2nd Generation or newer, or iPad® mini™ Apple iPhone®, 3GS or newer Apple iPod touch®, 4th generation or newer Your LexisNexis® Digital Library URL and ID/Password How It Works: Using your mobile device browser (i.e., Apple Safari) go to your digital library URL Insert your ID/Password Digital library adapts to the screen size for your mobile device Download your eBook: Go to your digital library and choose an eBook Follow the checkout and download process for that book using the OverDrive® browser-based option. Your eBook will open in your browser

Returning titles (early) to digital library from Adobe® Digital Editions
Your Logo Here Open Adobe® Digital Editions Select ‘Library ‘from the upper-left corner if you don’t already see the view below. Right -click (control-click for MAC) on the title you’d like to return. Click ‘Return ‘Borrowed Item.’ A dialog will appear asking if you’re sure you want to return the eBook. Click ‘Return’ to confirm. Note: you can only return one title at a time. If the option is grayed out, make sure that you have only selected one eBook. See OverDrive® HELP for tips on other eReader return functionality.
