How can we use different grades of pencils to create lines, shade and patterns in our observational drawings?
How can we use clay to create a leaf design wall hanging?
Roll out clay and make leaf impressions using different shaped leaves. Use clay tools to cut around leaves. When dry paint in shades of green using acrylic or poster paints.
Look carefully at a range of plants with different leaf shapes and patterns (e.g. spider plants, ivy). Make observational pencil drawings.
