5 How did Government affect Islamic medicine?
Islamic doctors depended on GOVERNMENT support Islamic State was a single state ruled over by one man – the Caliph. Caliphs provided the medical stability needed for medical progress. Many Caliphs were interested in science

6 Caliph Harun also set up a new major Hospital in Baghdad
Offered treatment to patients whereas Christian hospitals only offered care. Medical school and library was set up Hospitals called bimaristans were built in many cities of the Islamic empire
