FINGERSPELLING THE SIGN LANGUAGE TOOL

Introduction An Application has been made that parses text into sign language and vice versa. The animations have been made using blender. The animations have been made interactive using the Blender game engine and Sketchfab. Image Processing has been done by OpenCV. Using image processing techniques, the signs are detected and mapped with the alphabets.

Learn Module A simple 3d Model of a hand is rigged and all the alphabets have been animated. They are then mapped for keyboard Inputs of the alphabets. A stand-alone application has been made and was put to test at Sanksar Dham.

Practice and Test Modules
The Gestures are recognized and mapped with the alphabets. Image processing techniques involve converting the normal image into HSV. We will be working with OpenCV using python. The Practice module was put to test at Sanskar Dham.
