Therapeutic careers are involved in changing the health status of the patient over time. They communicate with other staff, collect information, plan treatment, implement procedures, and monitor patient status. Types of careers are Physicians, Nurses, Physical Therapist, Pharmacist, Respiratory Therapist, Social Worker, EMT, Dentist and many more….

RN Registered Nurses can get a 2 or 4 yr degree.
Must take NCLEX state exam to be licensed as a nurse after completing nursing school Avg starting wage is $22 hr Can work is hospitals, clinics, schools, offices, home health

Physician There are many areas of specialty such as pediatrician, family practice, surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, dentistry, veterinary, and more Must have 4yr degree, plus 2-4 more years in medical school, plus 3-6 yrs in residency training depending on specialty. Must pass license exam by Board of Medical Examiners

Health Science offers an insight into all medical professions by providing foundational knowledge in health care. The first semester is Foundations and Therapeutic skills class. The second semester is the clinical internship class. This class teaches basic nursing assistant skills preparing students for the opportunity to take the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. Upon passing this exam you will have a greater opportunity in getting a nursing assistant job paying 10-12$HR. You will also have a basic knowledge of health science that will help you in pursuing a college degree

LAB Working in the lab is a privilege. We will not be in the lab everyday. You will be able to put into practice the skills we have discussed in lecture, and demonstrate skills from the NNAAP Certified Nurse Aide booklet. Participation and practice is a must!
