The School Day On site at 8.45, first lesson start at 8.50
2 lessons before break, 2 after break, lunchtime/assembly/tutor period, 2 lessons after lunch Enrichment on Monday (finish at 4.10) Finish at 3.10 (Tuesday – Friday)

Expectations for Uniform
Whitley Academy blazer Collared white shirt (tucked in) Whitley Academy tie Black trousers / skirt (reasonable length) Black shoes (All black, no trainers) A large school bag (no handbags) For all optional items and PE kit please check the parent’s information guide Uniform is available to order on the school website (collection from School office), available from Andy Blair shop in town or visit school office from 7th August to 1st September between 10am-2pm

Expectations for Uniform
Jewellery should be kept to a minimum (one chain, studs or small sleepers in ears, no body piercings, one ring. Jewellery must be removed for PE lessons. If hair is dyed it should be one colour and not bright colours such as pink, blue etc. No make-up should be worn.

Mobile Phones Can be brought in to school
Should only be used at break or lunch If you are found to be using your phone in lessons it will be confiscated. You are responsible for looking after your phone

Attendance All students should aim for 100% attendance, (96%+ is very good) Attendance is monitored robustly – expect to be contacted if your child’s attendance becomes a concern. 80% is 1 day off a week (nearly 8 school weeks off) We don’t encourage and cannot authorise holidays in term time. Holidays taken during term time may result in a Fixed Penalty Notice. Rewards for tutor group and individuals with excellent or improved attendance.
