Lack of focussed messaging targeting the missing middle for Smart ID Card applications (17 to 59 year olds / paying category) Over the last four (4) years lost 13% (104) of staff establishment due to austerity measures Lack of sustainability of performance by offices and districts Lack of connectivity and dedicated officials at hospitals Lack of awareness campaigns on both birth registration and Smart ID Card Over-reliance on stakeholders to communicate our message Immigration Services lack of capacity and resources Consequences of policy decisions impacting negatively on general performance of offices and affecting largely the poor and vulnerable (DNA, Requirement for parent to be present for 1st time ID applicants) Unstable SITA network PORTFOLIO COMMITTEE ON HOME AFFAIRS
