Feedback from CURRENT STUDENTS
“Get your time and submission management sorted ASAP, cos there is constant work to do.” “Do the prep work for lessons. Not knowing what the teachers are talking about in a lesson is really impossible and you can get behind.“ “Put the work in and you’ll get great grades. I didn’t always get it at first, but don’t panic. There’s always resources and help.” “The learning practical activities we do are really helpful.” “If you don’t ask for help in plenty of time before a deadline, you’re not gonna do well. Get help if you don’t understand; they’ll always help you but not at the last minute!”

TASK: Terminology Tennis
In pairs: One of you ‘serves’ the name of a bone (and point to it). The other ‘returns’ with a different bone name (and point to it). Continue the ‘rally’ until one of you cannot name a bone correctly. *What about for joints & then muscles?
12
TASK: Skeletal Taboo Cards
In 4s: Take in turns to take a card Do NOT show it to the others Can you get them to say the word, BUT you cannot use the words in the box in your description. No gesturing or pointing

TASK: Quizlet Live Search for Quizlet Live
Type in the number given by the teacher

TASK: Animated Bones In pairs: Watch each slide animation. There are 3 MARKS available per slide.
15
TASK: Skeletal System Analysis
In pairs: Analyse the circled joints for each of the sporting images in order to: State the articulating bones State the classification of joint involved & a characteristics of this classification State the type of ‘synovial’ joint (is it’s synovial) State the movement taking place State what you think the main muscle (agonist) making the movement is.
16
TASK: Compare & Contrast

TASK: 1.1 Skeletal System Booklet
Complete ‘detailed’ bones notes on the following pages (p5, p8 & 9, p10, p13 from today’s session, p14, p15). Know what the movement terms are on p16 so that you could demonstrate them in the first lesson back if asked to. Complete ‘detailed’ joints notes on the following page (p17) Analyse the skeletal movements (4 sports images) and state the information required (A-E) Read the list of key terms (p2-4) & tick those you know well. What will you do about the rest?
