6 What Will You Do? Not to decide is to decide against
We all leave a legacy The impact may be different, but the key is whether it is good or bad Acts 9:39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 7 Starting a Legacy How: Intentionally
Who: Start with Family Do not worry about how far it will reach. When: Now is not too late Nehemiah 13:26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin. 8 Conclusion The Legacy of Christ
Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher. He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself... Lesson Outline Introduction to Legacy Who comes to mind? What will you do? Starting a Legacy

9 While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Nineteen long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race and leader of the column of progress. I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built; all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life. 10 Discussion Questions 1. Have you every thought about your legacy?
2. How important is legacy to you? 3. Will your legacy be specific (eg Dorcas) or a stab in the dark, hoping for the best? 4. If time permits, let one person in your group tell of their parent’s legacy. Softcopies are at our > Latest > Bible Class Notes Introduction Lesson Outline Introduction to Legacy Who comes to mind?
