4 Don’t think of HP digital printing as a replacement technology
First, don’t think of it as replacement technology. It also may sound like at this point that we are out to get all the other print processes and that the relationship between the two is “adversarial”. However, the reality is that it is actually “Complementary”. In other words, they work very well together, and from HP Indigo’s perspective, that is a good thing. Use the Superbowl analogy: Peyton moving to center and the center moving to QB. Wouldn’t work, but would be fun to watch. The point is that they are both really good at what they do, and as a team, they are hard to beat. Same thing with HP Indigo and offset and flexo technology. Together, they are hard to beat.
