2. FRANCE PREŠEREN
This is France Prešeren. He was the greatest Slovenian poet. We celebrate his memory every year on 8 th February. On that day we don‘t go to school and our parents don‘t go to work. There are lots of cultural events all over the country.
France Prešeren lived from 3rd December 1800 to 8th February He lived in Vrba in Gorenska and he studied at the Vienna Faculty of Law. Prešeren went back to Ljubljana where he worked as a lawyer and during that time he wrote a lot of poems. His romantic poems became very popular. His great love was Primičeva Julia whom he dedicated many poems. They called him doctor fig fig because he gave the kids dried figs.

4. PREŠEREN HOUSE
The Prešeren House is in the village of Vrba in Slovenia. It is the house where the Slovene poet France Prešeren was born in This house is a small museum. Every year lots of children come here on a school trip. The museum was opened to the public on 21 May 1939.
