Definition: The part of speech that is used to name a person, place, thing, idea, quality, or action and can function as the subject or object of a verb, the object of a preposition, or an appositive. Object of the Preposition – farm Prepositional phrase – (to the farm) Definition: A word put before a noun or pronoun to show how it is related to another word in the sentence. Explain the parts of a prepositional phrase: The preposition and the object of the preposition together is called a prepositional phrase. A preposition always goes before the noun or pronoun which is called the object of the preposition. Preposition is almost always before the noun or pronoun that is why it is called a preposition.
