2. Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to communicate in Spanish through listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and learning about the Hispanic culture.
The student communicates in a second language.
The student makes connections in the school and community.

Each chapter tells the students what concepts will be covered.
We will cover at least 7 chapters this year.
Chapter One – Alphabet, Time, phone numbers, address, verb Ser.
Chapter Two – ser (verb to be) with adjectives, gender and adjective agreement.

4. Chapter Three – gustar (verb to like) with infinitives and regular -ar verbs.
Chapter Four - regular and irregular -er and -ir verbs.
Chapter Five - possessive adjectives, negation with nunca, tampoco, nada, and nadie.
Chapter Six - direct objects and direct object pronouns.
Chapter Seven - object and reflexive pronouns with commands.

Study the Exprésates for the tests, vocabulary, verb conjugation, and pages at the end of chapters help.
Homework – 5% of the grade
