1 Your Kids’ Spanish Goals
I want to be helpful to people in all and any way possible and it would even be better if I could do it in Spanish. I hope to travel to Spain with my friends on a class trip. I want to get good grades. My goal is to learn the alphabet in Spanish. Also, I want to speak to my Spanish friends only in Spanish. My goal is to be able to read the Spanish words in the textbook without thinking about translation! I want the opportunity to learn Spanish so I can get a better job. I want to be able to say the days of the weeks and the numbers in Spanish. I want to learn more about the culture and experience more of it. I hope to one day speak Spanish fluently as my 3rd language. I hope to get all As this year. I hope am good in Spanish 2 to take Spanish 3. I want to learn more of this beautiful language. My dream when I get older is to be an Spanish teacher. I want to be able to have a clear conversation with someone only in Spanish. I want to use the words I used in one chapter and be able to apply them to another chapter to make a story. I hope to make honor roll. I want to be more confident in Spanish class this year. I hope I make new friends in Spanish class. I just want to actually understand what I am learning in Spanish My goal for Spanish 1 is to be able to pronounce the Spanish words correctly. I want to roll my “rr”s.

9 Student Expectations Mind your manners. Be respectful to everyone at all times.  Speak Spanish as much as possible and always try your best!  Bring all necessary materials to class every day. If I am speaking when the bell rings, please wait for me to finish.  Be on time for class and sit in your assigned seats when the bell rings. No cell phones are to be used in class. It is disruptive to the class and to me. More importantly, it is disruptive to your learning.

10 Homework: Tarea Students will typically receive homework several times per week. It is meant to reinforce content discussed in class. Homework is expected to be completed on its due date.  Late homework is not excepted.   2 HW passes per marking period

12 Absences & Make-Up Work
 Students are responsible for making up all work they miss.  Students must schedule make-up tests. All of the work that was completed on a specific day will be located in the absentee folder…students are to check the folder. Students may make-up work or get extra help in the morning or during clinic.**  Clinic can also serve as a supervised homework period. To see me, it would be best to make an appointment. I am in the building by 7 am. Also, Spanish Honor Society offers free tutoring. me for details. ** I am not here for clinic; however, Señorita Brewster is here during clinic. I have spoken to her and is happy to help!!
