5 Now Christ Is Risen Paul Preached the Death, Burial, & Resurrection of Jesus Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures… (1 Cor. 15:1-4)

6 Now Christ Is Risen Reasoned and Persuaded the Corinthians
And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks. When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. But when they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook his garments and said to them, “Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” (Acts 18:4-6) Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. (Acts 18:8)

7 Now Christ Is Risen Eyewitnesses: Corinthians Could Investigate!
…He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. (1 Cor. 15:4-8) Gospel Received Was Based on Facts, Infallible Evidence, & Proof—Not Myths, Traditions, or Fables!

8 IF There Is No Resurrection, THEN…
Now Christ Is Risen Paul Exposed False Doctrine about the Resurrection 1 Corinthians 15:12-19 IF There Is No Resurrection, THEN… Christ Is Not Risen (13) Preaching Is In Vain (14) And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Faith Is In Vain (14) And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty… But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. Still In Sin (17) Dead Have Perished (18) Hope Is Only in this Life (19)

9 THEREFORE… Paul Proved Christ Is Risen
Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds. (2 Cor. 12:12) THEREFORE… Christ Is Risen (13) Christ Is Not Risen (13) Preaching Is Not In Vain (14) Preaching Is In Vain (14) Faith Is In Vain (14) Faith Is Not In Vain (14) Still In Sin (17) No Longer In Sin (17) Dead Have Not Perished (18) Dead Have Perished (18) Hope of Eternal Life (19) Hope Is Only in this Life (19)

10 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Christ Is the Head of the Church! And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Eph. 1:19-23)

11 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Salvation is In the Church of Christ! Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:16-18) This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. (Acts 2:32)

12 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Salvation is In the Church of Christ! Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. …And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:37-38, 41, 47)

13 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Baptism is Immersion, not Sprinkling! Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (Col. 2:12) Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Rom. 6:3-4)

14 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Salvation Requires Baptism! Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. (Rom. 6:5-6)

15 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Worship on the First Day of Every Week! 1st Day of the Week Jesus Rose from the Dead – Mk. 16:2 1st Day of the Week Church Established – Acts 2 1st Day of the Week Lord’s Supper Eaten – Acts 20:7 1st Day of Every Week Worshiped – 1 Cor. 16:1-2

16 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Christ Is the Head of the Church! Salvation is In the Church of Christ! Baptism is Immersion, not Sprinkling! Salvation Requires Baptism! Worship on the First Day of Every Week! Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you… (Matt. 28:20) And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42)

17 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Christ Is the Head of the Church! Salvation is In the Church of Christ! Baptism is Immersion, not Sprinkling! Salvation Requires Baptism! Worship on the First Day of Every Week! …Teach no other doctrine (1 Tim. 1:3) Making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down… (Mark 7:13) Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. (2 Thess. 2:15)

18 Consequences of the Truth of the Resurrection:
Christ Is the Head of the Church! Salvation is In the Church of Christ! Baptism is Immersion, not Sprinkling! Salvation Requires Baptism! Worship on the First Day of Every Week! And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Col. 3:17) Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9)

19 Christ Is Risen We Must Obey His Authority – Matt. 28:18
Be Immersed for the Remission of Sins – Mk. 16:16 Walk in Newness of Life – Rom 6:3-4 Walk by Faith – 2 Cor. 5:7; Rom. 10:17 Worship God Acceptably – John 4:24
