2 Criteria for the selection of artists in Finland
The main objective is to present a new perspective on the northern Finnish art from that period The selection of artists has been affected by their activities in the Barents region during this period The selection of artists has also affected their conscious choice to do non-traditional art from the north Both sexes are represented in the exhibition tour

3 Olavi Korolainen The artist, painter from Kemi. Born in 1931.
Exhibitions in the Barents region and 1980's (Solo exhibitions and Group exhibitions) Soviet Union: 1970, 1971 Soviet Union, Murmansk: 1974. Sweden, Malmberget: 1979 Sweden, Gällivare: 1979 Sweden, Luleå: 1980. Sweden: 1981 Norway: 1981 Soviet Union: 1987 Calotte 1970, 1972 Border, at least 1974, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1984. Gulf of Bothnia III Biennale 1981 Member of Group Kemi, which were very active in Barents region during this period. The Group Kemi followed more European art styles than traditional ways of create art in the north.
