6 Background Known As “Norma Jeane Baker” - Norma Jeane Baker has started life as anything but famous. She was Born in Los Angeles California Back in 1926 on June 1st. - She wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Grew up without knowing her father and her mother was mentally ill. - She was taken in by foster homes and orphanages. Taken in by Family friends of her mother (Grace and Doc Goddard) - unfortunately the Doc’s job was transferred to the east and the couple couldn't’t afford to take Norma along with them. Had three marriages through out her life time. - To save herself from foster care she on June 19, 1924, age 16 married her neighbor/boyfriend (Jimmy Daughtry) To save her self from going back to foster care.

7 Challenges She worked at a parachute factory in the south specific.
-where her husband’s job was relocated there. Her mother couldn't’t raise her because she suffered sever physiological problems. Abandoned to multiple foster homes. - When she was 7 she was nearly smothered to death at two of them. - And by the age of 11 Raped at 6 of them. Divorced from her 1st husband because he couldn't’t handle her fame. In the 50’s she was developing an addiction to prescriptive drugs. Her second husband Joe Dimagio Divorced her because of Marilyn's signature move, and because of her personal issues. At some point in her life she was diagnosed with a disability of not being medically capable of having her own children.

9 Start Up To Fame Marilyn's rise to stardom has just began. The beauty was discovered at the age of 16 by a photographer in the factory that she was working in, and from there on she started modeling. The young and talented then Changed her name after she got her divorce from Plain “Norma Jeane” to “Marilyn Monroe”.Marlyn’s name came from the 1920’s star Mrilyn Miller, and her mother had made the name Monroe. then Turned from a total brunette to a blonde. She didn't’t settle for modeling, she had a different perception as she once said “I used to think as I looked at the Hollywood night, there must be a thousand girls sitting alone like me dreaming of becoming a movie star. But am not going to worry about them. I’m dreaming the hardest.” The young ambitious woman set her heart to acting and prepared herself for her career. She took acting classes and finally paying off, she appeared in a number of movies (small roles). Her 1st film she appeared in was “Scubba-hoo Scubba-hay” she also played the lead role in “Lady of the chorus” which was legendary.

10 Major achievements Built her Career out of scratch. Pursued her dream and rose up to fame, created a new image and a new name. Became “it Girl” of Hollywood. in June of 1953 Monroe started her first critically acclaimed film “Niagara” which led to the Hollywood classic gentlemen’s Prefer Blondes. continued to solidify her career with movies like “The Seven Year Itch” and “How to Marry a Millionaire”. Filmed over 33 films and Won 17 awards Sang Happy Birthday to The president John F. Kennedy .

11 Special Qualities Became an amazing icon despite her troubled childhood. To have been abused through out her young days she ended up becoming the most kind hearted well known woman in history. She had turned her life from bad to good and always wore a smile. Never believed in looking like every other model. She loved the size and expressed it proudly. Marilyn was the one who transitioned America from the black and white fifties to the Technicolor 60’s from generation to generation.

12 End of Her Career The Admired international star’s career ended when she was announced dead at the age of 36. Some Claim that Marilyn’s death is unknown. But then reports claim that she was found dead in her house in Cali alone with an empty bottle of percription drugs next to her and was to be said that she died of an overdose. She was barried in her favorite green Emilio Pucci Dress.

13 Reason Tribute is Paid Don’t be afraid of failure or dwelling things in the past, take a risk and go for your dreams, if Marilyn Monroe settled with her life she was born in instead of pursuing her dream as an actress she would have never known her own potential. We all have a purpose in life learn to always do what you’re afraid of and without big risk there are really no big rewards, because playing life safely is accepting your own failure before you even try. Marilyn Monroe is a prime example on how it’s possible to change your life, you can be whoever you want to be as long as you don’t let failure interfere in your past hold you back because the reality of failing is just one step closer to success so dig deeper and never give up on whatever path you choose to take.
