At minimum, Alcatel provides secured network for SCADA
RTUs remote access from MTUs
Or, Alcatel includes SCADA solutions in its offer
SCADA from selected vendors by yourselves or ourselves
Co-operation agreements with the main SCADA leaders

In all cases, inter-working will be ensured through tests between Telecommunication and SCADA solutions
SCADA= Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
A SCADA network is comprised of sensors connected to pumps/valves etc which are in turn connected to Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) which send/receive information to a Master Terminal Unit located in a remote control centre.
The SCADA network is of FUNDAMENTAL IMPORTANCE to oil & gas operators as the network ensures the constant and smooth operation of their facilities (pipeline, platform…).
The KEY application of the transmission network Alcatel provides to Oil & Gas operators is to transport RELIABLY this SCADA traffic.
