Distribution of Seats:
In a Single Section School: Total strength = 40 RTE = 10 Reserved for SC (15%) = 6 Reserved for ST (7.5%) = 3 Unreserved = = 21 out of this 5 seats will be reserved for SAQ Reserved for Differently able (3% horizontal) Total = 3% of 40 = 1.2 = 1 But distribution will be as follows - as it follows cross cutting among different reserved categories. 3% of SC i.e. 3% of 6 = 0.18 = NIL 3% of ST i.e. 3% of 3 = 0.09 = NIL Remained for UR(DA) = Total – SC(DA) – ST (DA) i.e. 1 – 0 – 0 = 1
7
Distribution of Seats:
In a 2 Section School: Total strength = 80 RTE = 20 Reserved for SC (15%) = 12 Reserved for ST (7.5%) = 6 Unreserved = = 42 out of this 10 seats will be reserved for SAQ Reserved for Differently able (3% horizontal) Total = 3% of 80 = 2.4 = 2 But distribution will be as follows - as it follows cross cutting among different reserved categories. 3% of SC i.e. 3% of 12 = 0.36 = NIL 3% of ST i.e. 3% of 6 = 0.18 = NIL Remained for UR(DA) = Total – SC(DA) – ST (DA) i.e. 2 – 0 – 0 = 2
8
Distribution of Seats:
In a 3 Section School: Total strength = 120 RTE = 30 Reserved for SC (15%) = 18 Reserved for ST (7.5%) = 9 Unreserved = = 63 out of this 15 seats will be reserved for SAQ Reserved for Differently able (3% horizontal) Total = 3% of 120 = 3.6 = 4 But distribution will be as follows - as it follows cross cutting among different reserved categories. 3% of SC i.e. 3% of 18 = 0.54 = 1 3% of ST i.e. 3% of 9 = 0.27 = NIL Remained for UR(DA) = Total – SC(DA) – ST (DA) i.e. 4 – 1 – 0 = 3

Preparation of selection List:
Following procedure led down in point-4 of Part-C of Admission Guideline Step-1 : RTE through draw of lots Step-2 : existing priority category system Step-3 : calculation of seats reserved for SC = Total seats reserved for SC – No. of SC candidates selected under RTE – seat reserved for SC (DA) Step-4 : SC (DA) – as per calculation Step-5 : ST = Total seats reserved for ST – No. of ST candidates selected under RTE – seats reserved for ST (DA) Step-6 : ST (DA) – as per calculation Step-7 : Unreserved = total strength – seats allotted from step 1 to step 6 (out of this 5 seat per section will be reserved for SAQ where applicable) – seats reserved for UR(DA) Step-8 : UR (DA) – as per calculation Step-9 : SGC (2 per section) – existing priority category system after omitting the applications already selected in step1 to step 8 Step-10 : All other Special Provision cases as in Part-B
10
Example For a 3 section School Total seats = 120 RTE = 30
Let in RTE there are 3 SC , 2 ST and 1 DA(Gen) Then SC seats for reservation will be 18 – 3 = 15 – SC (DA) 1 = 14 SC (DA) = 1 ST seat for reservation will be 9 – 2 = 7 – ST (DA) 0 = 7 ST(DA) = 0 UR = 120 – 30 (RTE) – 14 (SC) – 1 (SC DA) – 7 (ST) – 0 (ST DA) – 2( 3 reserved for DA Gen – 1 DA Gen Selected in RTE) = 120 – 54 = 66 (out of this 15 seats will be reserved for SAQ and list of = 51 will be prepared. UR (DA) = 3 Total reserved – 1 (DA Gen) selected under RTE = 2 Total seats distributed above = = 120 = Total strength
11
Total Seats selection List:
RTE = 30 SC = 14 SC (DA) = 1 (if not available keep it vacant and give a second advertisement , even if not available after 20th July de-reserve it to SC) ST = 7 UR = 66 UR(DA) = 2 Total = 120 Over & Above SGC = 6 All other cases of Special provision like KVS ward , Sana Medal etc. – all the eligible registered candidates
12
Problem faced: While preparing the list a problem arise in case some seats reserved in RTE and simultaneously in SC/ST/DA. Let the candidate selected in RTE does not take admission then we have to fill up the RTE quota from RTE(WL) and assume that 2 SC candidates selected under RTE have not taken admission and in WL 1 & 2 the candidate taken admission are not SC , then we have to fill up the SC reservation by giving 2 SC candidates from the SC (WL) But we had already prepared selection list of 120 Hence , one thing can be done when preparing the UR selection list we have to keep (66 – 3 SC selected in RTE – 2 ST selected in RTE and 1 (DA) selected in RTE = 60) In 2nd list we have to accommodate candidates accordingly (if all SC /ST/DA selected under RTE took admission then 6 seats from UR WL to be given , if for example 2 Selected under RTE not took admission in 2nd list 2 from SC and 4 from UR like this)
13
Another Problem: Let all 3 SC candidates selected under RTE took admission Let 4 candidates who are not SC did not took admission and from WL candidates took admission are SC (all 4) As we have already prepared the SC selection list then SC reservation became = 22 (Then the UR category candidates are victimized) So we have to find a solution This can be possible only be completing the admission of RTE (admitting all 30 seats) then only determine the seats for other categories and prepare a list in 2nd phase Hence admission list to be prepared in 2 phases (1st phase RTE and in 2nd phase others) and admission to be conducted in 2 phases also. But common admission date to be followed by all Vidyalayas
14
Documents : Documents as mentioned in para-3 of Part-C
For SGC original affidavit from the 1st Class Executive magistrate not older than 1 year (Affidavit from Notary will not be accepted) SC/ST certificate in the name of the parents’ may be accepted with an undertaking to submit the same in the name of the Child within three months of admission But OBC(NCL) certificate should be in the name of the child (not older than 1 year) – OBC (NCL) certificate in the name of the parents’ may not be accepted as the basis of this certificate is parental income – A person may be OBC(NCL) according to his/her parents’ income but his/her child may not be OBC(NCL) as it is to be issued on the basis of his/her income. SEBC certificate will not be accepted in lieu of OBC certificate. BPL card should be in the name of the parents’ of the child only For claiming EWS the income certificate in the name of the parent (not older than 1 year) with annual income of less than Rs /- (Rupees One Lakh Only)
15
Problem related to Documents
As this time online registration is done many candidates have given wrong information either knowingly or unknowingly To avoid the complicacies it is proposed not to publish the list under the head of “Provisional Selection List” , rather publish the list for document verification (prepare 200% of the seats) After document verification those found ineligible cancel those cases and prepare the “Provisional Selection List” and “Provisional Waiting List” accordingly.
