Startup solves a particular problem or delivers a particular service Startup is born for a global market and always searches for a repeatable and quickly globally scalable business model, whereby revenues may grow much faster than costs Startup is very risky, it succeeds or fails quickly and needs special funding instruments (FFF, crowdfunding, Business Angels, VC, IPO) Startup traditionally is less than 5 years old when it either attracts external funding or become a cash-flow positive business.
