1 FLAT STANLEY ADVENTURES

2 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS Flat Stanley started his adventure at the Capitol building in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Arkansas State Capitol was constructed between 1899 and 1915 on the site of the old state penitentiary. They used prisoners to build the capital building. Insert a map of your country.

3 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS Next, he visited Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Central High School is the site of major civil rights history. In September 1957, nine black students enrolled in Central High School. At the time, the school was all white. They were called the “Little Rock Nine” and they forced the de-segregation of the Arkansas’ largest high school. Insert a map of your country.

4 BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY
Flat Stanley then visited Bowling Green, Kentucky. He went to the E.A. Diddle Arena. Diddle Arena is where the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers play. Stanley is still a little confused about what a Hilltopper is, but he enjoyed watching the basketball game. Insert a picture of one of the geographic features of your country.

5 BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY
Next, he went to Feix Field at LT Smith Stadium. Flat Stanley decided to dress up in a WKU uniform and eye black. He was willing to wear a WKR jersey for one time only, but insisted on wearing Derrick Henry’s number. Insert a picture illustrating a season in your country.

6 BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY
Before he could go on his next adventure, Bowling Green was hit with over 12 inches of snow! Stanley said he’d never seen so much snow before. Insert a picture of an animal and or plant found in your country.

7 BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY
Once the snow melted, Stanley went to the National Corvette Museum. The reason the museum is in Bowling Green is because the Corvette used to only be made in Bowling Green. Add key points in the history of your country to the timeline.

8 PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE
Next, Stanley headed to the hills of Tennessee to check out Cades Cove. Located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this land used to be home to over 132 families in Stanley got to see amazing scenery, as well as deer, turkeys and bears. 9 PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE
This is the Carter Shield Cabin in Cades Cove. George Washington “Carter” Shields was wounded in the Battle of Shiloh and crippled for life. He made his home here in Cades Cove in Flat Stanley really enjoyed seeing how the settlers used to live. Insert a picture illustrating a custom or tradition here.

10 FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA
After spending some time in the mountains, Flat Stanley decided to go to the beach. He had the chance to soak up some rays on Fort Lauderdale Beach and Miami’s famous South Beach. He loved swimming in the clear, turquoise water! Insert a map of your country.

11 FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA
Stanley then had the opportunity to sit on the beach and see the Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show with fighter jets buzzing over the ocean and doing tricks in the air! Insert a map of your country.

12 CAPE COD, MASSACHUSETTS
After leaving the beach, Stanley headed far north to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He started his journey in Needham, Maine and went to see friends in Mattapoisett, Maine. He later crossed over the Bourne Bridge to explore the beach in Pocasset, Maine. From one beach to another! Add key points in the history of your country to the timeline.

13 UNITED KINGDOM Insert a picture of the head leader of your country.
From there, Stanley decided to make his trip international by visiting the United Kingdom. He visited Caenarfon Castle in Wales. The huge fortress was built in the 13th century by King Edward I of England to help in his fight against the Welsh. In 1969, Prince Charles was crowned Prince of Wales at the castle. 14 PARIS, FRANCE Stanley finished his worldwide tour in Paris, France. He went to the Eiffel Tower, and took a boat tour down the Seine River in Paris. He watched the Eiffel Tower shine and twinkle with lights after sunset. Insert a picture that illustrates some part of your country’s economy.

15 PARIS, FRANCE Stanley also visited the famous Lourvre Pyramid Museum and took a train ride to the Champagne region, where he learned how champagne was made! He even had the rare opportunity to stay the night at a chateau in Provence, which is the South of France. Insert a picture of one of the points of interest for your country.
