Introduction : Desmi QSCA-4/6
Main task: In order to control the compressor temperature, oil is injected into the compressor press room by the Desmi pump which provides the required oil pressure Main issues: No spare DESMI oil pumps; No identical oil pump can be bought; Oil pumps working point close to cavitation zone; Several bearings and shaft seal issues noted; All low stage compressors may run without DESMI oil pump, But operation of high stage compressors is significant reduced.

Conclusion Proposal based according to the good experience coming from Atlas MR compressor station where the centrifugal pump was replaced by a volumetric pump including a magnetic coupling. CRG-ME suggests to replace during YETS at one compressor station (P4 or P6) the Desmi pumps with Kral pumps. Advantages: Desmi spare pumps would be available; Only insert Kral pump is required to fulfill spare part request (Spare motor to be checked with CE). 01/09/2014 TE/CRG-me SJ
