V= Voltage v = volts Voltage is the push of electrons through a wire, and is measured in volts.

I = Current A = amperes Current is the flow of electrons through a wire, and is measured in amperes.

R = Resistance Ohms = Greek letter for omega, Ω. Resistance slows or resists the electron flow in a wire and is measured in ohms.

P = Power Watts: a watts is defined as doing work at a rate of one joule per second

Equations of Ohm’s Law Ohm’s Law is the relationship of voltage, resistance, and current in DC electrical circuits. It requires one volt of “push” to move one ampere of current through one ohm of resistance. Ohm's law may be rearranged in three ways. It's important to be familiar with each of these. V = I x R I = V ÷ R R = V÷ I

Equations of Power Law Power Law describes the relationship between voltage, resistance, and watts. Power’s Law equation is seen as: P = V x I also as P = I2 x R or P = V2÷R
