Poland Capital city of Warsaw and the city of Krakow October 2015

We flew from Liverpool airport to Warsaw in Poland on Saturday evening
We flew from Liverpool airport to Warsaw in Poland on Saturday evening. Warsaw is the capital of Poland. We stayed at the IBIS Hotel in Warsaw.

On Sunday we went to the ZOO
On Sunday we went to the ZOO. It was wet so lots of the animals didn’t want to come out of their houses. We did have a good time and saw some of them.

On Monday we visited the Polish Secondary school
On Monday we visited the Polish Secondary school. We had to do our presentation in front of everyone. We met all the partners and had a tour of their school.

We had an art lesson in the afternoon whilst Mrs Hill had a meeting about the project.

They have already built their DOME. It looked amazing.

We went to a local restaurant for lunch.

Eve taught the partners how to play
UNO card game. They were very Competitive and didn’t follow the rules!!

On Tuesday we went on a bus tour of Warsaw for 2 hours
On Tuesday we went on a bus tour of Warsaw for 2 hours. We listened with our headphones to an English version.

More eating! Only Sophia and Mrs Hill had the Polish dumplings!

We visited Warsaw old town
We visited Warsaw old town. This is a copy of the real ‘old town’ that was destroyed towards the end of the second world war by the Germans. They used paintings to build a copy of the original buildings.

We had to do a quiz and a treasure hunt around the old town
We had to do a quiz and a treasure hunt around the old town. Alfie and Charlie made friends with Amadeus a Swedish boy from our group.

On Wednesday we went to The Uprising Museum and found out about The Polish Uprising against The Germans in the second world war.

On Wednesday afternoon we went to The Kopernika Centre which is an amazing ‘hands on science centre’.

On Thursday we travelled by coach for 6 hours to the old city of KRAKOW. We went in the famous salt mines and had a tour for 2 and a half hours underground.

On Thursday evening we went on a tour of the old town of Krakow.

On Friday morning we flew from Krakow back to Liverpool, very tired but with great memories of our time in Poland.
