NEOCAA’s mission is to assist low-income families to be more self-sufficient and to remove barriers to success. Fresh food is difficult for agency clients to have because they must travel more than 10 miles to purchase.

The final design focused on ORGANIC METHODS using essential elements which yield NUTRITIOUS and tasty food in RAISED BEDS with a BUILT-IN WATERING SYSTEM, making the garden LOW-MAINTENANCE and WEED-FREE

NEOCAA’s garden project is located on 1/3 acre with ten 4’ x 50’ raised beds.

NEOCAA utilizes a growing medium that is organic and adds essential elements to provide the most nutritious possible vegetables.

Throughout the year, area school children visit the garden and learn to plant and harvest.

Canning and cooking classes are also provide in cooperation with community partners.

10. Jay Farmers’ Market
NEOCAA works with other local growers to operate a Farmers’ Market in Jay. SNAP cards are accepted.

11. Mobile Market
NEOCAA has received funding to build a mobile market. Operational funding is needed.
