MAIN IDEA If Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead, our faith would be worth nothing. But because Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again, when we trust in Him as our Savior, we are saved from sin. We also have the sure hope that when we die, He will raise us up and give us new bodies so we can live forever in heaven with Him. ESV

MEMORY VERSES 1 CORINTHIANS 15:19-20 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. ESV

INTRODUCTION Do we always get the things we hope for here on earth? Does anyone know the difference between hoping for something like a toy and the hope we have when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior? What is it? ESV

MAIN LESSON 1. Without the resurrection our faith is worthless and we would still have to be punished for our sins. ESV
