Focus on the message, not the messenger, 1 Cor 3:5; 2:1-5 Eliminates both preacheritis and biased rejection Gospel is valid and its message is true regardless of the messenger, Phil 1:15-18

Test what you are taught by the Scriptures, Acts 17:11; 1John 4:1, 6 Jesus taught them the Scriptures, Luke 4:17-19 He applied Scriptures to Himself and to them, Luke 4:21, 24-27
