1 Connect 4 Change the terms in the following template to customize Connect 4 for any topic. You will need to copy one copy of one of the two templates (this is the game board) and two different colored copies of the second template page (these will be cut out to make the colored chips played by each player).

2 What is the unit for an amount of substance?
Define the relative atomic mass of an element What does conservation of mass mean? What is empirical formula? Give two units for concentration of solution Are the solvent particles less crowded in a dilute or concentrated solution? Calculate the volume of a 2mol/dm3 Solution that contains 0.5mol of solute Explain why medicines need to be diluted? 2.4g of carbon is burned in air forming 8.8g of CO2. What mass of Oxygen is gained? Name two pieces of glassware used to measure liquids when investigating a pH curve Why is a single indicator used in titrations? Why are several consistent readings needed in titrations? If you were to dilute 10Cm3 of a 0.5mol/dm3 solution to a 0.1 mol/dm3 solution how much water would you add? Give two ways to measure the volume of gas produced in a reaction How could you tell from an equation that the reaction is reversible? What is a limiting reactant? What happens to the concentrations of the reacting substances when a reversible reaction reaches equilibrium? Describe a non-food use of weak acids Name the three raw materials used in the Contact process Describe the test for sulfate ions Describe and explain the four state symbols What happens to the pH when an acid is added to an alkali? What is a precipitation reaction? What is a spectator ion?

3 During a reaction the total mass stays the same g/dm3 and mol/dm3
The mole The average mass of the element compared to the mass of ½ of an atom of carbon - 12 During a reaction the total mass stays the same A formula showing the simplest whole number ratio of each type of atom in a compound g/dm3 and mol/dm3 Dilute 0.5/2=0.25dm3 To avoid overdoses =6.4g Burette and pipette Single indicators give a sudden rather than gradual colour change To identify and remove any anomalous results 40Cm3 Gas syringe Upturned measuring cylinder Upturned burette The equation would have the reversible symbol not just an arrow The reactant that is all used up at the end of a reaction Their concentrations remain constant Limescale descaler Sulfur Air Water Add hydrochloric acid, then add barium chloride. If there is a precipitate of barium sulfate, there are sulfate ions (s) Solid (l) Liquid (g) Gas (aq) Aqueous (or dissolved in water) It goes down A reaction between two solutions that forms a solid Ions that do not take pat in the reaction. They form a soluble product
