1 Spectra Precision Q4 2016 Novelties
Piotr Strzelecki | Field Application Engineer NOVEMBER 2016 Spectra Precision Q Novelties

2 Survey Pro 6.0 General

3 SURVEY PRO 6.0 – TABLET VERSION
Bring Your Own Device concept – open platform Survey Pro supports Windows 10 Desktop or Windows 10 PRO versions Not all devices implement Windows 10 in the same way Try tablet before purchase Windows 10 LE or Windows 10 Mobile are not supported

4 SURVEY PRO 6.0 – TABLET VERSION
Serial Number Deliver Survey Pro Serial number with the order Pricing under Survey Pro Field Software in the All Data Collectors section User manageable display settings

5 SURVEY PRO 6.0 – QUICK CODES, E-LEVEL
Quick Codes buttons are mapped to the numeric keypad for data collectors Faster Quick Codes storage SP80 E-Level improved Faster response Easier to read

6 SP80 and SP60 3.10 Firmware and Survey Pro 6.0

7 UHF NETWORKING Extended UHF Networks No need to move Bases
Automatic best Base selection Improved productivity in the field Each Set consists of max. 3 Bases Multiple Sets applicable All Bases use the same UHF frequency Base 3 Base 2 Base 1 Base 1 Base 2 Base 3

8 UHF NETWORKING Extended UHF Networks (Corridor, River, Road, …) along linear projects Base 6 Delay 1400 ms Base 5 Delay 700 ms Base 4 Delay 0 ms Base 3 Delay 1400 ms Base 2 Delay 700 ms Base 1 Delay 0 ms SET x SET 1 SET 2 User can setup up to 3 bases using UHF Networking, which can be not satisfactory to cover the whole project. The solution for this situation is to create more SETS of 3 base stations along the project. Each SET of 3 base stations would have to be out of reach for the other sets.

9 UHF NETWORKING Extended UHF Networks for surface type projects
Base 5 Base 6 Base 4 Extended UHF Networks for surface type projects All Sets of 3 UHF Networking Bases need to be out of range of each other Base 3 Base 2 Base 1

10 UHF NETWORK TIMING Base stations 2 and 3 broadcast with a delay
Super Compact ATOM with two seconds of periodicity Each base station requires 700 ms to broadcast its data

11 UHF NETWORKING – BASE SETUP
SP60 and SP80 used as bases in the UHF Network All UHF modems use the same settings (frequency, etc.) SP60 firmware supports UHF Base setup not UHF Rover

12 UHF NETWORKING – BASE SETUP
ATOM SUPER COMPACT used Transmit Rate: 2 sec Transmit Delay: Base 1: 0 ms Base 2: 700 ms Base 3: 1400 ms

13 UHF NETWORKING – ROVER SETUP
Rover setup with the same UHF modem settings as UHF Network Bases Select UHF Networking under rover Settings > Multi-Base User-friendly setup

14 UHF NETWORKING – ROVER OPERATION
Bases can be selected Automatically Manually For automatic setup receiver firmware will select the base providing best possible solution

15 REPEATER MODE Setup Repeater under UHF Rover Station ID can be used
Depending on the Transmit protocol 3 different modes can be used: Open: Same frequency Open: Different frequencies Trimble mode

16 REPEATER MODE – DIFFERENT FREQUENCIES
The Tx frequency can be different from the Rx frequency Rover 2 in range of Rover 1 No interference between the corrections broadcasted from the Base and Rover 1 Base MHz Rover 1 MHz Rover 2

17 REPEATER MODE – SAME FREQUENCY
The Tx frequency can be the same as the Rx frequency Rover 2 has to be out of range of Base to eliminate the interference in between Base and Rover 1 transmissions Base MHz Rover 1 MHz Rover 2

18 REPEATER MODE – TRIMBLE MODE
Base with 1 repeater Base with 2 repeaters Base Rover 1 Repeater 1 Rover 2 Repeater 2 Rover 3 Only for Trimble protocols Compatibility with Trimble receivers Available modes: Base with 1 Repeater  Base with 2 Repeaters  Repeater 1  Repeater 2

19 RTX – IMPROVEMENTS Datum selection in Survey Pro settings
RTX Quick Start Region selection using Regional Atmospheric Model (RAM) RTX Survey Pro Quick Start initialization on the known Point

20 RTX – IMPROVEMENTS Survey Pro RTX Quick Start
Initialization point in the same Datum as selected in the RTX setting Start operations when not fully converged

21 SP60 – RTX IMPROVEMENTS RTX Satellite selection
Automatic Manual Available under RTX receiver profile in the Modem tab when L-Band selected

22 SP80 – MULTI LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Supported languages: Automatic: same language as the data collector OS English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese SP80 display, SMS, s and alarm are localized Setup using SP80 menu or Survey Pro

23 SP80 – WI-FI HOTSPOT Wi-Fi modem settings
Client Use for Central Cloud Corrections access for Data Collector Broadcast corrections in between SP80s using Central Cloud Corrections

24 SP80 – WEB USER INTERFACE Optimized for smartphones
Type SP80 IP in the browser Default login: admin, password: changeme Web UI allows access to most SP80 settings No Data Collector needed for some setups – use your smartphone instead

25 SP80 – GSM MODEM Phone number displayed on the OLED Screen USDD
Unstructured Supplementary Service Data Manage sim card with GSM provider commands Check, charge account, etc. Survey Pro terminal used $PASH commands used Example: Orange PL: code *124*# for account state. $PASHS,MDM,USS, *124*#

26 SP60 and SP80 with SPace

27 SP60 SP80 AND SPACE Both receivers need to be updated to 3.10 firmware to be compatible with SPace application. SPace (Spectra Precision accuracy enabler) Free download on Google Play SP60 SP80

28 SPace OVERVIEW SPace (Spectra Precision accuracy enabler)
Free download on Google Play Provides all required GNSS settings for setup & control No need for development in 3rd party applications

29 SPace OVERVIEW Corrected Position Device Internet 3rd party software
Corrections Corrections Corrected Position Android mock location

30 SPace OVERVIEW SPace functionalities Bluetooth connection
Correction service setup: SBAS, NTRIP, DIP or RTX Satellite sky plot Position quality information Alarm notifications Availability of position and quality information Auto start

31 SPace NEW VERSION New version 1.0.267 posted on Google play
Support SP60 and SP80 GNSS receivers RTX L-Band option was added for SP60 RTX and RTK at the same time GNSS raw data recording for PP Record ATL debug files Send serial commands (configuration file) Display Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS satellites

32 RTX with SP60

33 TRIMBLE RTK and RTX SERVICES with SP60

34 SP60 CONFIGURATION AND RTX
3 SP60 configurations: Full RTK: centimeter level accuracy 7/2: Accuracy is 7 cm in horizontal, 2 cm in vertical 30/30: Accuracy is 30 cm in both horizontal and vertical RTX Option: Trimble RTX corrections service currently subscribed. IMPORTANT: best accuracy depends on the RTK option installed, regardless of the subscribed RTX service. For example, it wouldn’t make sense to purchase a subscription of CenterPoint RTX if only the 30/30 RTK option was installed in the receiver.
