Arrival Look out for Relay For Life signage
Rapid Relief Team Volunteers will be assisting with traffic control Please drive slowly and follow all directions There will be a drop off zone for equipment, tents, marquees, and then you will be directed to a parking bay. Please ensure you lock your vehicle and keep any valuables out of site. Please send one team member to the CCQ Registration tent to collect your team kit, any remaining shirts and find out your campsite number.

What to do before Opening Ceremony (2pm)?
Ensure your vehicle is parked in a permitted area Collect your team kit and team t-shirts Register any on-the-day team members Tick off your name for the Cancer Survivors, Carers, Supporters and Fighters Walk (if applicable Set up your campsite and introduce yourself to your neighbours! Familiarize yourself with the toilets and CCQ tent Get excited!

Your Campsite Each team is allocated a campsite (same teams will be side by side) Enough space for a marquee (3m x 3m) and a tent to be comfortable and warm overnight. (Campsite will be approx. 4m trackside and 8m deep) Please ensure you have some shelter – slip, slop, slap, seek, slide! Keep your campsite clean, and have fun! Pick a theme and go wild! No glass, no BBQ’s, no gas Have a fundraiser at your campsite! (Let us know)

Relay Day Schedule Time Activity 1.50pm All Relayers to the stage
Opening Ceremony, Cutting of the Ribbon, First Lap – led by Cancer Survivors, Carers, Supporters and Fighters 2.15pm Cancer Survivors, Carers, Supporters & Fighters Afternoon Tea Everyone else starts their laps around the track All afternoon and night… Food trucks, Bands, Face Painting, Zumba, Watermelon Eating Contest, Zorb Balls, Pyjama Party Lap, Belly Dancing, Trivia, Just Dance, and so much more! 7.00pm Candlelight Ceremony 6.00am Free breakfast for all participants 8.00am Closing Ceremony and Final Lap!

Candlelight Ceremony Opportunity to remember those lost to cancer
Each Relayer will receive a candle bag, tea light candle and sand for weight Feel free to write messages of hope or to loved ones on your candle bag Committee members will assist in lighting candles at the appropriate time We will have silent lap around the track with the candles after the performances and poems Please photos of loved ones you would like remembered by Tuesday 11 October

Fundraising… Have you met your fundraising goal?
Some easy ideas… Send an to work colleagues asking for a donation Post on Facebook with your personal page link asking for support Sell raffle tickets to neighbours or family members Donate to yourself! Organise an on-site fundraiser If you don’t ask, you don’t get! Be confident in asking for a donation. 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be affected by cancer in their lifetime. People are usually happy to support you, they just need to be asked!

On-site fundraising… If you tell us by Tuesday 4 October what your on-site fundraising is, we can help you promote it up on the big screen! Please remember that power is not available (unless special circumstances) so consider this if having to keep items cold Remember to make a sign for your campsite promoting your fundraising, and remember a small float too. What to do between now and Relay day…
Recruit team members! We recommend at least 8 people, with a maximum of 15. Need more spots? Create a second team! Fundraise! Ask for donations through social media and s, sell raffle tickets, organise a fundraiser! Organise your theme and plan your campsite! What about an on-site fundraiser? through photos of loved ones you would like remembered in the Candlelight Ceremony. Invite Cancer Survivors, Carers, Supporters and Fighters to the Afternoon Tea, which is complimentary.
