What do we understand from the text we have read?
Music was used by David as a means of glorifying God and spreading His Word among His people.
The office of musicians was an important office that reported directly to the King of Israel
Musical talent was passed from one generation to another.
Music involves a lot of training to become accomplished.
Those involved in making music before the Lord were appointed to their positions by spiritual selection (sacred lots)

Worship Him in the beauty of His holiness
Reflect on His Word and meditate on His precepts and commandments
Encourage the weak and weary; comfort the mourning
Avoid music that invokes the wrong kind of spirit or sets the wrong mood.
