Karma & Rebirth A person’s thoughts, speech, & actions during their lifetime = karma All good and bad karma travel with a person into the next world…therefore, karma = rebirth Instead of a soul or personality traveling with a person from one life to the next, it is their karma that “travels” Life is continual change / don’t try to hold on to life or personality or it will cause suffering “Go with the flow” (Do you recall this term?)

Buddhist Tradition Has Three Parts The Three Jewels
Jewel 1 = Buddha Jewel 2 = dharma (the law) Jewel 3 = religious community = sangha Buddhism moved from India to China, Korea, Japan, Tibet, Burma, and other parts of Southeast Asia.
