Don’t Get ‘Locked Out’ of the Supra Exchange
HAR and Supra are introducing new and improved lockboxes from November
The new iBox BT LE features longer battery life, larger key container and supports Bluetooth® technology, so smart phone eKEY users will no longer need a FOB to access lockboxes.
All existing boxes registered in the HAR system MUST BE EXCHANGED by December 1.
During the week of November 14, HAR members will receive a FREE “one for one” trade-out. That means for every old lockbox registered in your name, Supra will exchange it for a new iBox BT LE.
An exchange fee will apply AFTER November 18.

The Presidential Election takes place on Tuesday, November 8. Early voting begins next Monday, October 24, and runs through Friday, November 4. For more information go to or visit your county election site for more specific information.

Houston Market Movements
Around the country, cooling weather and recent interest rate hikes have fewer first-time buyers shopping for homes this fall, just as many existing homeowners are cozying up to the idea of remaining in their current homes a bit longer. With fewer home buyers and homes for sale, we may see sales and sales prices start to mellow, or it could mean that the more serious buyers and sellers will simply have less competition.
In the Houston region, for the week ending October 9:
• New Listings increased 2.4% to 2,385
• Pending Sales increased 20.9% to 1,751
• Closed Sales decreased 5.7% to 1,134

The more you know about affordable housing programs, the better you can assist your clients in making homeownership a reality. The better your understanding of processes surrounding short sales and foreclosures, the more guidance you can provide on either side of these transactions. Together, the certification will enable REALTORS® to help clients find solutions that will meet their financial needs while best serving their long-term goals.
