What do we do? Deliver the EYFS, learning through play
Deliver Buddy Books for all EYFS children with written and photographic observations, linking in with reception teacher and topics Offer daily activities and free play Outdoor activities as often as possible Ensure the health and wellbeing of our children remains at the forefront at all times Offer a safe, fun and stimulating club “Staff have a good understanding of how to promote children’s learning and development through fun and interesting play-based provision.” Ofsted Inspection, Earls Colne 2014.

Typical After School Day
Arrive and have a drink and a healthy snack Join in the planned activity which could be a craft based one, sensory one, board games or outside physical one or just free play if preferred Play outside if weather permitting Themed weeks with a planned activity linked to this daily. Hot meal and pudding around 16.45pm Play until parent collection “Practitioners make sure children have plenty to do. They recognise children's need for recreational experiences as they prepare for and relax after the day in school”. Ofsted Inspection.

Children’s involvement
Children’s interest’s help plan our themed weekly activities. Rolling snack, two week rolling menu Snack preparation Ideas and resources committee Fundraising committee “Practitioners use their knowledge of what children enjoy doing as the basis for planning. They provide interesting experiences that children want to be involved in. This helps to support children to continue their learning through play. “ Ofsted Inspection 2015.

Typical Holiday Club Day 8am to 6pm
Arrive and have breakfast (served till 9.30) Free play inside or out until planned activities start. Packed lunch at 12pm Hot meal and pudding served at 4.45 Parent collection “Children are very enthusiastic about attending the setting. The relationships between the older and younger children are very good and they often involve each other in their play.” Ofsted Inspection 2015
