My ESR – Focus On Upcoming Tasks
The Upcoming Tasks portlet acts as a calendar and reminder for users, of any classroom bookings they may have within the next 7 days Calendar view of specific date driven events within ESR for the Employee, including Class bookings, Leave, Expiry of Certifications, Visa, Fixed Term Contracts and any next Appraisal/Review dates Clicking on the View my Calendar button opens a new Portal page displaying the month view.

Providing Access to the Portal
11
Provisioning Organisations – What does this mean?
Access to the new portal Provisioning Organisations – What does this mean? The NHS ESR Central Team is currently (provisioning) rolling out access to the new ESR Portal (commenced on 1st May 2017) Objective: a manageable and sustainable uptake of Organisations to the Portal; Once an organisation is provisioned: Users on N3 will have both the current and new access routes available – meaning an organisation can choose to allow certain users to bypass the portal initially to phase their own deployment; However, once provisioned, all internet access for employee users within that VPD will be via the portal;

ESR Portal Roll-out Timetable
Access to the new portal ESR Portal Roll-out Timetable February 2017: ESR Programme Director letter to HRDs outlining the roll-out of the new Portal from May 2017; April 2017: Release 34 Portal functionality released to Beta sites; May 2017: Provisioning of the Portal for other NHS Organisations began as a phased roll-out (Note: all NHS sites will be provisioned by the end of Sept 17) September 2017: e-Learning Only URP removed and lowest level of ESR employee access becomes ESSLA; December 2017: The current ESR (non-Portal) access route is removed meaning that all ESR access is via the Portal from that point.
13
Portal IT Standards
14
IT Standards Experience with the Beta sites has demonstrated that the ESR Portal requires compliance with the MM-0100 standards This means that the fully supported Standard is Internet Explorer 11 and Java _74; The ESR portal may not work effectively on versions below this minimum standard; It is essential that IT Departments/Suppliers move toward the supported standard as soon as possible; Remember– the ESR Portal will be the only access route into ESR by 31st December 2017.
