Department of Biostatistics PittBBDS: Key Features Prospective trainees need to take successfully the new course or at least one course from each of three multidisciplinary domains (Computer Science/Informatics, Mathematical Statistics, Biomedical Sciences) Trainees will receive a doctoral degree from their home department, with a possible certificate for Biomedical Big Data Science The new course and rotation (PHDL on the list) will emphasize team science project and reproducibility components
