DECLENSIONS Nouns belong to 1 of 3 different Declensions.
1st Declension Female words. 2nd Declension Male words. 3rd Declension Male + Female + Neuter ‘odd ones out’. The ending only gives information on what the noun is doing in the sentence.

Belong to 1 of 4 different conjugations. Belong in tenses. Tenses = time. Can be done singular by 1 person or thing: I or You or He / She / It Can be done plural by more than 1: We or You plural or They. The endings all tell you who is doing it and when.
