28
ISSUES No. of CTE's should be increased.
Insufficient academic & support staff. No. of CTE's should be increased. More equipments & facilities under ICT is needed. Lack of study material, specially for hindi speaking states. Support from National Level for Orientation/Capacity building of faculty. Inadequate contingency amount to meet regular expenses. Limited financial resources of Rs Lacs for all activities. (Continued…..)
29
ISSUES Allotment of schools to students for school experience program is very difficult because CTE is academic institution & schools are not in their administrative control. Provision of grant of Rs Lacs for Vehicle Hiring is provided only to those institutes which do not have their own Vehicle. The vehicle provided to CTE by State Govt. is mostly used for Administrative purpose. So proper Academic monitoring is not possible by one vehicle, therefore vehicle hiring grant should be provided to all CTE without the above condition. (Continued…..) .
30
ISSUES Current parameters used by NAAC to assess CTE gives weightage only on pre-service training program. While at CTE, our main activity apart from pre-service is to impart in-service training and support to schools/DIET's. So while assessing CTE, separate norms should be considered & weightage should be given by NAAC
31
