17. Some Initial Thoughts
Early analysis shows that intervention resulted in many success stories - a reward for the many hours of extra support
Proportion of students achieving top grades is high yet again (31% 5 or more A* and A grades)
We have significantly reduced the in school variation between departments at both GCSE and A Level
At GCSE the national position has fallen – us and most other Haringey schools continue to buck the national trend
Continued focus on the longer term strategies for securing better outcomes – Teaching and Learning; Intervention at KS3; Pastoral support and removing barriers to learning

18. Overall....
Again, we have much reason to be pleased and much to celebrate! Improved and strong GCSE results and significant improvements in both Year 12 and Year 13 performances
Some outstanding individual subject performances
At GCSE - Progress 8 and Valued Added performance indicators are positive
At A level (top 10% nationally for progress) and at AS level (top 15% nationally for progress)
As always, there is room for improvement
We still need to do more to narrow the gaps between our disadvantaged students and others
