M2M in vehicle connectivity – The Solution
4G LTE in-vehicle networking solutions from Zest4 are enabling businesses to completely unify their on-the-road communications. Application: Securely extends the enterprise network to the road, as well as enabling in-vehicle technologies such as connected CCTV, mobile asset tracking using RFID, and industry-specific applications such as cold chain monitoring and smart meter reading. Business benefits: Drives productivity – field teams can focus on what they do best and are fully enabled with the right technologies at any location. Improves information sharing and streamlines workflows – central and field teams are aligned with the latest information, better enabling them to do their jobs and improving operational efficiencies. Enables dynamic deployment of field resources based on accurate, up-to-date work load, location and on- board equipment information – ultimately improving the customer service delivered. The demand for in-vehicle networking has significantly increased in the past few years. In order to improve services delivered, and to streamline workflows, organisations are now looking to extend their enterprise network to their fleets - enabling access to centralised systems from the road, as well as conn ng new tracking technologies This requirement for reliable, superfast connectivity on-the-road is answered perfectly by a 4G LTE networking solution which can support all of the latest, in-demand transport technologies: + Creates a powerful Wi-Fi hotspot both in and around the vehicle and, when implemented correctly, secures the Wi-Fi solution with cloud-managed content filtering and other advanced security features which can be easily configured to keep the core network and sensitive information safe + Provides access to central systems, such as applications and databases, for improved on-the-road capabilities – helping field and head office teams to keep up-to-date with the latest information for enhanced work planning + Integrates with third party fleet telematics services to deliver the connectivity required to transmit real- time information about the fleets’ performance – helping the fleet to become more cost-effective and efficient + Enables mobile asset tracking technologies such as RFID to improve cargo monitoring, and therefore security and efficiency + Advances cold chain monitoring by enabling temperature sensors to transmit information in real- time, from any local on – improving alerting and monitoring capabilities for the service provided + Provides remote access to, and retrieval of, vehicle CCTV footage for instant access in me-crucial situations, or where the vehicle is prevented from returning to depot – protecting organisations in insurance disputes and aiding emergency services to recover lost assets Each of these applications lead to benefits such as improved customer service delivery, streamlined work processes, enhanced fleet efficiency and effectiveness, and increased driver and cargo security.

Secure VPN – Extending the Office Network
Zest4 Routers and gateways enable field teams to establish a secure VPN into the enterprise network from the road, which they can then connect to using the on-board Wi-Fi, Ethernet or Serial capabilities – providing secure access. Wi-Fi Hotspot Ethernet Routing/Gateway device creates in-vehicle network which is leveraged to provide secure access to the enterprise network. Serial While cellular can provide a best fit solution for in-vehicle networking requirements, if selected and implemented incorrectly it can provide a substandard application or user experience – becoming a costly mistake for companies and resulting in: * Financial outlays that don’t deliver a return on investment * Brand damage due to customer and employee dissatisfaction Delays in implementing the correct solution Consumer-Grade Devices While some organisations may be tempted to implement cheaper, consumer-grade devices to deliver their on-the-road connectivity – such as USB Modems and Personal Wi-Fi Hotspots – these come with several inherent issues. They typically lack network edge features and functionality, meaning businesses have to significantly compromise on their security and corporate policies. They also aren’t built for vehicular environments so tend to damage and break very easily, leading to increased long term costs for replacement hardware. Consumer options also aren’t managed; central IT teams cannot troubleshoot or support the hardware while it’s in the field, and the vehicle would have to return to depot before any connectivity issues could be resolved. Internal Modems Many leading tablet and laptop manufacturers today build internal modems into their computing solutions, and while this can be very effective for connecting the device to the Internet, it too has its limitations. Internal modems have small, internal antennas and therefore they cannot achieve a high quality signal on an on-going basis. This can lead to limited or slow connectivity, which affects field team productivity and customer service. Additionally, internal modems can only connect the device they are installed in and cannot be used for any other in-vehicle connected applications. . IPsec VPN standards based security guards against unauthorised access to data . Transparent end-to-end security without the need for costly software upgrades or additional equipment . IP security layer at the end point ensures IPsec VPN can be leveraged by all applications connected to the gateway

Unified Comms – A Single Box Solution
Our advanced 4G LTE in-vehicle networking solutions can be used to unify all of the vehicle’s communication requirements – removing the need for multiple devices and delivering a single, easy to manage connectivity source Enterprise-Grade LTE Routing 4G LTE routers and gateways provide secure, reliable and superfast connectivity over a choice of networks, enabling extended features and capabilities which fully support corporate in-vehicle networking requirements. Leading solutions offer: + Plug and play – fast speed to deployment with “zero touch” configuration. + WAN support – these devices frequently support Ethernet, Wi-Fi as WAN, Satellite, etc. + Remote access – remotely access, manage, send and retrieve data, as well as diagnose connectivity problems, without the vehicle having to return to depot. + Ruggedised options – ruggedised routers are protected from vibration, dust, splash, and extreme temperatures. + Wi-Fi connection – mobile routers allow multiple devices to connect, some allowing up to 128 connections at one me. + Simple integration – their compact size and capabilities allows easy integration with other in-vehicle technologies. + Antenna connection – mobile routers connect to external antenna’s which can be positioned to optimise coverage in any location. + Extended power options – most allow direct installations into a vehicle’s electrical system and boast advanced power options, ignition sensing, and power saving. + Standalone connectivity – mobile routers do not need to be connected to a host computing device to provide connectivity. + Secure connectivity – mobile routers offer enterprise-grade security, with best in class devices offering advanced security, VPN, and firewall to protect sensitive data; they are also designed for PCI compliant network architectures. + Multi carrier support – enables users to select the best network coverage for the organisation, with many routers also offering multiple SIM options for failover so that it maintains a reliable network even if the primary connection fails. each of these applications lead to benefits such as improved customer service delivery, streamlined work processes, enhanced fleet efficiency and effectiveness, and increased driver and cargo security. Commercials – How we set ourselves apart
Short Term Solutions – Monthly Contract Flexible Connectivity – No fixed monthly limit Long Term Solution – Two or Three Year Contract – Better pricing from networks Aggregated Data – Pool of data shared across multiple connections. Local SIM for high data or Roaming SIM for low data or high value No minimum order of sims. 1 sim with 10Gb of data can still be an M2M deal. There is often a perception from partners that you have to order hundreds of sims Full portfolio of Hardware solutions to meet all requirements Full access to a management portal to allow total control of the sim estate
