Statewide low-income energy conservation program
Sponsored by the gas and electric utilities
Treats all eligible low-income households
Over 100,000 customers since 2000
FREE to participants

3. Eligibility
Total household income at or below 225% of Federal Poverty Guideline or
Already Participating in:
Lifeline - Section 8
General Welfare - SSI
HEAP - PAAD
TANF - USF
Customer of record with electric or natural gas as primary heat
unit dwelling
Owners and renters are eligible

4. Reduce the customer’s household energy consumption
Program Objectives
Reduce the customer’s household energy consumption
Make the customer’s energy bills more affordable
Enhance the customer’s health, safety and comfort

5. How do we Achieve these Objectives
Provide site-specific, customer energy education empowering the customer to take control of his or her energy usage and energy bills
Install appropriate, cost-effective energy savings products and measures

Landlord consent needed for tenants
Qualified by CLEAResult
Initial Visit (Energy Audit) is scheduled

A thorough energy education session tailored for the customer.

10. Energy Savings Measures
Measures chosen are determined by program cost-effectiveness standards. Measures may include:
air sealing
Insulation
refrigerator replacement
hot water measures including hot water heaters
compact fluorescent lighting
Heating and air conditioning systems evaluation
duct repairs, etc.
