WHY Develop deeper a discipleship experience with community and prayer Update the art work and content to meet current students Provide accessibility to all students no matter their background and learning level Build lessons that include better contextual understanding and life application of scripture to do life together. Why the change: Remove barriers

WHAT What – the handbooks

T&T Ultimate Adventure Book #1
2 Start Zone sections + 23 Bible studies + 4 Review sections + 3 GO lessons ____________________ = 32 Handbook Sections Book Completion (does not include “Bonus Box,” “Make It Stick” and Silver/Gold extra credit) The biggest change or difference is that these handbooks are designed for an all together method of pacing rather then self paced progression. If a clubber comes mid year they need to complete the Start Zone and then join the rest where they are in the book.

Four icons in a section Start Here Explore Memorize Review
(activity/do) Explore (Searching the Scriptures) Memorize (memorizing this week’s verse) Review (reviewing last week’s verse) Two Options: They work on the section at home prepared to participate in discussion. Quote the verse during Fast Track. * You all work on the section together. They tell their family and practice their verses. Recite last week’s verses during Fast Track. If they miss a week they skip the lesson to continue with the group. If they want the book award they will have to make it up on their own If a clubber comes mid year they need to complete the Start Zone and then join the rest where they are in the book. * The new T&T is designed to encourage kids to complete their handbook section before coming to T&T each week. This encourages parents to be involved and allows the child to think about and prepare for the lessons and verses for that week. This is allows kids to be more engaged during the Large Group teaching and Small Group discussion and aids retention of the Biblical concepts.

Parental/Caregiver involvement Extra Credit
Extras Each section has a Silver Extra Credit Bible study and four Gold Extra Credit memory verses that dives deeper into that section’s Bible topic. The Extra Credit is included in the back of the handbook with additional extra credit available for download. Not required - but encouraged

/ttupdate/#sample Small Group and Fast Track Guide This is a clubber’s handbook with answers, recourses and support content. Do it with them. Know your clubbers – Do they come prepared or not. Adapt to meet their needs. There are more questions than you can do. Will take some prep on their part. Work thru lessons, choose questions have verse memory helps. Every leaders should have a Small Group Leader Guide; it is very important. It will help in preparation for each week working with the clubbers. Once you have gone thru a book you don’t need to get a new one each year. Large group lesson format that helps clubbers start understanding and applying the memory verse in their handbook section. This tool also starts to engage the clubbers with the Word.

How FLEXIBLE ADAPTABLE
We will talk about some possible scenarios of how you may run your a club night differently, what your calendar might look like and some options to think about as you transition. We won’t cover all of them. You will need to adapt it to your club; your facilities, leaders and clubbers. If you are having some trouble wrapping your head around some of this and you need someone to bounce ideas off of or help sorting out some of your considerations please call us. We are here to help. FLEXIBLE ADAPTABLE

Fast Track Three benefits of doing it before club!!
Have many leaders on hand. Clubber promptness in arriving before club begins. Start focusing on the night’s lesson. *If it is too difficult to do it this way then make a special time during the night to do fast track, but not during small group. Consider adjustments and modifications. This is a time before and/or during the club meeting to do the verse recitation (this week’s new verse and last week’s review verse). This lightens the load of small group time in order to interact with clubbers. Fast Track is another major addition that we need to consider. What it is, is, a time set aside to listen to verses so that small group time can be done together. It can be done before and/or during club.

Handbook Transition Option Four Lg. Group 3rd 4th 5th 6th new book
Small group 3rd grade 4th grade 5th grade 6th grade If you start up everyone this year in the 3rd grade book and next year in the 4th grade book, that would work as it’s easier for the 5th and 6th graders to gear down. As the 5th and 6th grade books come out, you may want to look at them to see whether or not they can be applied down to the 3rd and 4th graders. If you don’t think that would work, you may want to have the 3rd and 4th rotate their two books and the 5th and 6th rotate their two books, but that would mean two Large Group times. Each church will have to decide what they feel is best for their clubbers.
