Designed and developed by Baywork, the Knowledge Transfer Toolkit is an on-line interactive book that combines guidelines and resources.

4 Goal of Toolkit The goal of this Knowledge Transfer Toolkit is to help water/wastewater agencies learn from each other. A unique attribute of this on-line interactive book is that it provides direct on-line links to specific resources.

7 Organization of Information
In this toolkit, information has been organized in two different ways.  One is by topic (e.g., workforce reliability planning), giving the reader examples of tools used in this area by many different agencies. The second is by case study (showing how some agencies have pulled together many different types of tools to create a robust knowledge transfer program).

Union Sanitary District-Technical Training Littleton Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant- Documentation and Knowledge-Sharing System Colorado Springs Utilities- Staff Development & Technical Training BAYWORK members have conducted research, including site visits, to gain information on the staff preparedness programs of utilities that have done outstanding work in the field. The process of capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using organizational knowledge.  Examples include on-line knowledge management systems such as: SharePoint (web content management system) or Wiki (a content management system), libraries, databases, and learning management systems (ability to view, listen, and interact with data).

31 CASE STUDY: BAYWORK Knowledge transfer among staff of water/wastewater utilities has been a primary objective of BAYWORK since its inception in 2009. The Operational Reliability Roadmap adopted by its founders reflects four strategies, one of which is providing staff with the information they need to do quality work.
