Activities Day is not that far away!!
Choice sheets will be in your registration folder on Monday. You have the choice of - Blair Drummond, Escape, Ratho Climbing, Laser Quest, Edinburgh Zoo, Paintball, Glasgow Science Centre, History Challenge, Blackpool Pleasure Beach (S5 & S6only) as well as activities in school. Can you please return your form TO YOUR REGISTRATION TEACHER before FRIDAY 17 MARCH. DO NOT BRING MONEY AT THIS STAGE … once activity is confirmed you will be given a consent form and asked to pay on return of this.

Warning Please note: internal gates are locked after school so if you are staying on for an activity or for supported study please leave by the main door at the front of the school to avoid being trapped within internal gates. Mr Reid

LGBT RIBBONS LGBT ribbons Help raise funds to address homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. Pupils will be visiting registration classes on Thursday and Friday to collect donations and provide ribbons. Suggested donation £1

SQA MUSIC PRACTICAL EXAMS
MONDAY 6 AND TUESDAY 7TH MARCH There will be no period bells on these dates above. However the only bells will be at the start of school day/morning break/lunch and end of school day only.

Word of the Week This week the word is plagiarism. Plagiarism is copying someone else’s work or ideas and pretending it is your own. Use this word in a sentence like this: ‘The student did not realize he had committed plagiarism when he copied the paragraph from the magazine and used it in his essay’ For more information check out the blue notice board in the library area. Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day!
Collect your £1 token from the school library and exchange it for a free book at your nearest bookshop or put it towards a book of your choice in a bookshop or online at The Scholastic Teen Book Club. On Thursday look out for members of staff dressed as book characters in and around the school! Dr Stewart

Drop In/Peer Mentoring
Starting on Monday 27th February, there will be a lunch time drop in every day from Monday-Thursday where you can come along to get to know some of the senior pupils, discuss different issues or just have a chat! These lunch time drop-ins will be ongoing, therefore feel free to join us in Base 6 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or the conference room on a Wednesday, at any point during the school year.

S1 Football Team We have an AWAY match on Friday 24th February after school versus Inveralmond. The team sheet is up outside the PE base next to the games hall. If you CAN play, please tick your name off on the sheet. If you are UNABLE to play please let Mr McDonald or Mr Baird know asap please. Players will be required to pay £3 to cover costs of the bus. S2 INTERHOUSE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
Monday 6th March am S2 Interhouse Fooball Tournament Must come to school in P.E kit. No football strips Team lists will be put in your social area and will be outside the canteen. If you can’t participate please speak to your teacher. Please remember to bring your school uniform to change into after the football.

There is a list of study support opportunities available on the website. There are also some paper copies in the school office if you would like to collect one. Please make as much use of these valuable opportunities as possible to support your success in the May exams – they will make a difference!

S4-6 PUPIL DROP IN – WEDNESDAY 1 MARCH – INTERVAL
As it is coming up to exam time when stress levels can rise, the Health & Wellbeing group have arranged a coping strategy session on Wednesday 1 March at interval in B8. From this session we will devise a plan of further supports, so please come along and be part of this. All S4-6 welcome and refreshments and biscuits will be served.

S6 Final Prom Payment Final payments of £20 to be made before
March 31st If you fail to hand in before this date you will be unable to attend Prom and you will lose your deposit. Also please hand in your completed Consent Forms Monies and consent forms to be handed to Norma Riddell in the office on Fridays only
