What Do They Stand For? TRUMP
Has stated limits to contributions or spending would be "okay“ but no specific policy proposal. Inconsistent- has supported an increase, then opposed, then said it should be left to individual states to decide, then supported increase again. Opposes birthright citizenship. Supports building a wall across US-Mexico border. Calls for mass deportation of all undocumented immigrants. Discussion questions: How do the candidates differ on these issues? How are they similar? How would these policies affect you and your family, if put into effect? Calls for allowing health insurance companies to compete across state lines. Calls for elimination of the individual mandate for health insurance. Supports abolishing bans on assault weapons and military style weapons. Supports getting rid of gun-free zones at schools and military bases.

TRUMP Supports complete overhaul of the federal student loan system, moving government out of lending and restoring role to private banks. Supports making all colleges share risk of student loans and make it harder for students majoring in liberal arts to seek loans. Currently supports states’ right to legalize marijuana, but has previously stated opposition (June 2015). Wants government to be “tough on crime” but has not talked about specifics. Discussion questions: How do the candidates differ on these issues? How are they similar? How would these policies affect you and your family, if put into effect? Opposes cuts to Social Security and Medicare benefits. Wants to dismantle Dodd-Frank Act and all Wall Street reform laws that went into effect in 2010.

Believes climate change is a hoax.
Supports destroying oil fields in the Middle East because they’re a primary source of money for ISIS. Opposes it. Supports a no-fly zone.
