24. Writing
Focus is on proving what students think by quoting evidence from the text.
They will also be asked to give/implement peer review feedback.
Performance Tasks will be on one of the following:
Fictional Narrative, Response to Literature, or Argumentative writing.

25. Academic Standards
We will be reading a variety of stories and articles connected to four 45-day themes like “In Pursuit” and “Justice Served”
Students will be completing a culminating essay based on the unit theme.
Emphasizes collaboration for generating ideas.

26. Social Studies
Middle Ages of: Islam China Japan Africa Europe Reformation Renaissance Mesoamerica Lesson quizzes each Wednesday! Extra credit videos, movies, and field trips!

27. Movie/Video Clips Movies are usually PG or PG-13
Clearplay technology edits content for language, violence, etc.
History videos are made by a high school teacher and set to current music.

28. Watch D.O.G.S. Program!
Pizza and information night on Wednesday, August 30th at 6pm!
