6 Song Let us arise and build

7 Verse 1 The work is great and widely spread,
Separated on the wall, far from one another Enemies on every side, So we pray remember us, O our God for good And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. [Neh 4:19] And our enemies said, “They will not know or see till we come among them and kill them and stop the work.” [Neh 4:11] Remember for my good, O my God [Neh 5:19]

8 Chorus Let us arise and build The house of God The body of Christ
Each other up in love Together as one In unity Then they said, ‘Let us arise and build’ [Neh 2:18] Built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit [Eph 2:22] for building up the body of Christ…to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. [Eph 4:12-17]

9 Verse 2 Our sins are great, so we confess
Clothed in sackcloth we repent, spare us in your mercy Standing up exalt His Name Blessed be your glorious Name, you are God alone Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the people of Israel were assembled with fasting and in sackcloth, and with earth on their heads. And the Israelites separated themselves from all foreigners and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. [Neh 9:1-2] Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, “Stand up and bless the LORD your God from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. [Neh 9:5]

10 Chorus Let us arise and build The house of God The body of Christ
Each other up in love Together as one In unity Then they said, ‘Let us arise and build’ [Neh 2:18] Built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit [Eph 2:22] for building up the body of Christ…to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. [Eph 4:12-17]

11 Verse 3 Rejected by the builders
Christ became the cornerstone, foundation of our faith Building up as living stones Here on earth, remember us, O our God for good This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. [Acts 4:11-12] For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [1 Cor 3:11] As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. [1 Pet 2:4-5
