UNIFORM The school is frequently complimented on the children's excellent behaviour. We believe that children wearing uniform is part of discipline; a uniform contributes to a common value and identity system within a school. All children are therefore expected to wear the correct school uniform. Winter V neck burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan with the Redwell Primary School logo White polo shirt (logo optional) Dark Grey (Charcoal) trousers/knee length skirt/culottes Grey socks/tights Flat black plain shoes or boots. (No trainers) Black PE shorts, plain white t-shirt (black joggers & plain hooded jumper optional in Winter) Summer V neck burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan with the Redwell Primary School logo Dark Grey (Charcoal) trousers/knee length skirt/knee length shorts/culottes Grey or white socks Red Gingham Dresses Flat black plain shoes. (No trainers or sandals)

THE SCHOOL DAY 8.50 am Whistle blown/Doors open. Children line up in class on playground independently. Class teacher collects line. Children enter school independently. *Thursday - Booktime 8.50am am all parents / carers welcome to read with children 9.00 am Registration 10.30 am Morning break 12.00 noon Lunchtime 1.00 pm 2.45 pm Afternoon break (Key Stage 1 ONLY) 3.30 pm School day ends. Meet children at * entrance) PLEASE BRING PLANNERS AND READING BOOKS TO SCHOOL DAILY

YEAR 3 TIMETABLE PE will be on Mondays & Tuesdays – Please make sure
children are not wearing earrings on these days, unless they can remove them independently. Hair should also be tied back. NOTE: The only jewellery worn at school should be an anologue watch and stud earrings. Children should always have their PE kits at school during the week as timetables are subject to change - Black shorts, plain white tops and plimsolls/trainers. In the colder weather, jogging bottoms are allowed for outside PE. Swimming: Weldon: 15th September – 20th October Denford: 15th September – 20th October Althorp: 3rd November – 8th December Please amend to suit your year group timetable.

HOMEWORK Mental Maths – sent home every Friday, tested on the following Friday Spellings or Phonics – sent home every Thursday, tested on the following Thursday Reading – at least x4 weekly to receive a merit.

THINGS TO LET US KNOW ABOUT:
Any change in family circumstances which may affect your child. E.g. separation, new marriage, new birth, death/serious illness in family… Change of contact information. E.g. change of address, mobile telephone number… Injury or illness that prevents your child from taking part in PE lessons (a note or a phone call please). Head lice. You can also e mail FAO your child’s class teacher
